Homemade playdough fun

Today we attempted to make playdough again. The last 2 times it did not come out so good. I use to make it for my preschool class all the time, but after not teaching for a long time, I forget how to make it and what it suppose to look like.
It turned out wonderful the third time around and the kids had a blast making it. It looked different than the store bought playdough and Kendric loved the snakes it made.
Here is the recipe if anybody is interested:
21/2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
4tblsp. cream of tarter
2 packages of unsweetend koolaid powder
2 cups boiling water
3 tblsp.oil
Mix flour, salt, cream of tartar, koolaid and oil until well blended
add boiling water and mix with spoon until cool enough to Knead
Continue kneading until color is blended. You can use a hand mixer to make it easier and faster, but my kids loved Kneading it.
Enjoy!
