Yesterday I decided to watch it and I am glad I did. She first had on the heros of Ft. Worth shooting. They are amazing people and so glad they were there to do their part.
Here is the link to read more about it http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20091111-tows-charla-nash-chimp/3
There was also a lady named Charla Nash who was attacked by a chimpanzee. It is amazing the spirit this woman has after being shred to peices (literally). Her hands looked like they went through a shredder and she lost all of face. She showed her face for the first time yesterday and I have to say, I was a little shocked when she took the veil off,but after awhile got use to it. My heart goes out to her knowing that she is going to be like this for the rest of her life, but yet wanted to live and not die.
I am just thankful for my life and the way I am. Sure, I think I have flaws, but doesn't everybody? Nothing are flaws compared to Charla's flaws. This just makes me so greatful for what I have and helps me to remember that I have everything I need(like my face and my hands), who cares about the other things,(clothes, shoes etc) those are just materialistic things. I have my life and a normal face and my hands and a normal life. Charla is going to never have these again and is going to not have a normal life for the rest of her life. She is always going to struggle and fight for everything.
She is an amazing woman and if anything ever happend to me that caused such a change of life, I hope that I would have the strength and motivation like charla does. God Bless her!!!
