Merry Christmas

From our family to yours. Have a very Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

I wanted to start the tradition of making a Happy Birthday Jesus cake or cupcakes every year. This year Cadence did most of the frosting. I want my kids to know the true meaning of Christmas and what it really is all about. We give 3 gifts for each wiseman and then stockings. I love Christmas and it even means

more when you have kids yourself!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Our Weekend

This past weekend we had Christmas with Ryan's family. It was a great weekend. The kids had a great time and so did the adults. My brother in law was also graduating from college do it was a double celebration.
My sister in law got this Styling head for Cadence. I loved my when I was younger. This one is a wig and she can put it on.

Cousins

Here is cadence with the wig on. It looks like her hair
We went to Kobe Japanese Restaraunt> it was so much fun with the kids watching them cook the food.
The color was red that day

Crayon Letters

This year I decided I was going to make the my daughters preschool teachers a gift. I think it means more when there is thought put into it. I saw Crayon Letters on Pinterest and decided that is what I decided to make.

Supplies:
  * A big box of new crayons(or old)
  * A picture frame. I used a 8x10 one.
   * Glue. I just used Elmers Glue
   *White or colored cardstock
    *pencil and knife

I First printed out a Letter M Printout to place the crayons on for practice and then one for the frame.
I used a letter M with rounded edges, might be better to use one with square edges.
I started arranging them and deciding where I need to cut the crayon.

I then took a pencil and marked where I needed to cut the crayon at.

I then added glue. It takes a few mins to dry so if you need to arrange some crayons you can.

Then I began placing the crayons and figuring out what length to cut them and which way I wanted them to go. I had my daughter help me, so not sure it is exactly how I wanted it,but it is a 4 year old oringinal!
Here is the finished one. Not sure it is my favorite, but like I said I wanted my 4 year old to be involved.
If you were a preschool teacher, would enjoy this?

Being a good wife and good mommy

This is something I struggle with everyday. I know I am a good mommy and I know I am a good wife at times. I work full time from home and at times it can be very stressful and by the end of the day I am spent. I always have to lean on God to give me patience and the strength to be the wife I should be. My goal is to be both a good wife who is there for my husband and making sure I cover his needs and then being there for my kids and nurturing to them.
I guess in a way it is about knowing my husband and my kids.
My husbands needs are spending time with him and showing affection and being honest with him and just being happy for the blessings I have and not complain so much. Somedays I have such a stressful day that I oversee the blessings I do have.
When I do these things, he is happier and able to love easier. If I show more love, he gives more love.

My kids needs are simple, but yet the hardest to fulfill. All they want is a mommy to play with them and listen to their heart and love them. I guess I focus to much on a clean house and getting things done insteading of fulfilling my childrens needs and not worrying about the other things. Those materialistic things will always be there, but my kids will not. One day they will tell me to go away and not want to play with me and snuggle with me and I need to enjoy that while I can because I will be crushed when it does happen.
I need to focus more on every single moment with them and listen to their hearts more and sheperd them in a Godly manner.
I need to slow down and enjoy what God has created for us and I need to thank him everyday for choosing me to the  mommy of 3 wonderful gifts and a man of God with passion and his desire to work hard everyday to provide for his family and yet still be a wonderful husband and daddy.

Thank God for giving me these wonderful blessings.
