Patent teacher conferences

Last night we had parent teacher conferences. It was our second year for Kendric and our first one for Cadence.
I always get a little nervous going into these conferences because I am concerned we will be surprised with some bad behavior or that our child is not where he/she should be.
I am already for a lecture about how we need to work more with them, or your child is failing.
Have you noticed they act completely different at school.
I always ask how they get along with the teacher or other friends. I get..."they are great and so well behaved." What child are you talking about?

Well, that is never the case and we always get good reports, for now . We are still at 1st grade and kindergarten. I know the challenges are coming.

- they each got a book for good reports!

Baskins and Robbins

It was one if those weekends that I wanted to go fast . Wierd huh? Well the hubs had continuing Ed class all weekend and it can be extremely challenging. I needed to grocery shop and I fear the things that will happen when I take all 3 kids. So what a good mother does is bribe them with icecream.
I know I am not the only one that does this , right?
Well, it worked.

Such funny faces .
Hope your weekend was fabulous.

loss of a child

Yesterday was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Next month will be 3 years that I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks. You never expect these things to happen and they really stink when they do. When I went to the doctor because I started to spot, I was not prepared to see nothing in the sac. I felt like I was dying inside. That moment was a dark, emotional ride.
He/She was due in May and every May I just think to myself how old  they would be and what they would have looked like.   a month later I got pregnant with a beatiful, sweestest girl and cherish all 3 of children. I never take a moment for granted because you never know when that will be taken away from you. Whether it was a miscarriage, early or late in prenancy or stillborn, or infant did not live for long,it is something that will always be remembered, everyday, every moment, every year. I pray for strength and peace for all the parents that had to go through this. In Remerberance of the all the loss.

The Amish village

My kids were off of school in Friday because of conferences and I knew I wanted to do something fun with them but not to expensive. My friend has taken her kids to jamesport Missouri to the Amish village and they have so much. It was about a 45 min drive, but so worth it.
It was very cool to learn about the Amish and there culture and how they live and what they believe.
I wanted to teach the kids about the way the Amish live and how we have it pretty easy.

-all of us at the Amish cafe. Good down home cooking .she has 4 girls and I have 3 kids so a lot of kids. The waitress asked us if we were were keeping up with Amish . Ha!

The gift shop had the coolest things.

We were trying to get through lunch without something happening . Something always is bound to happen with that many kids.

Exactly 7 chairs

One of many horse and buggies.

Kaelis wanted to spin and spin. I thought I was going to throw up watching her. I was never like that. I guess that comes with old age!

So in this small little house, a family with 10 children and a slave all lived in. How did they survive without going crazy?

I was loving all the bags if candy at the gift shop. I bought alot.

Lots of pumpkins and a horse.

It was so peaceful there . So pretty with all the leaves turning .

Do not see this very often in a public restroom.

The gift shop had Cinnamon bears. I love those things.
We had so much fun. It was something different and we made memories. I would definitely go back again.
