Christmas 2013

We had a great Christmas. My parents and sister came. I love the innocence of the children and letting their imaginations of Santa clause take off . The delight on their faces when they receive that exact gift they wanted.
When Kaelis opened every gift , she responded with "I got it." It cannot bring more joy to my heart.

Fun with Aunt Danielle.

We had a white Christmas this year. The kids love snow , me, not so much

My sister has been through so much and has been fighting it since she was 6 when an event took place . This summer she was in such a bad place that she almost took her own life and by the Grace of God and his protection over her, she is here and forever. I cannot be more greatful than the minute she walked in the door.

Making cookies for Santa with Nana.

Jake celebrated the true meaning if Christmas with us.

Celebrating daddy's birthday .

Cadence finally decided she wanted wanted to get her ears pierced. She was so surprised how fast it was and how little it hurt.

*** I am having with my desktop right now,so I am stuck with iPhone pictures. Hopefully I can get good edited up ones soon.

How was your Christmas?

Blogging and randomness

Ok. So I am behind in blogging. I am struggling with blogging right now. I have so many posts that I want to do, but am struggling with finding the time to do them.
I take pictures on Instagram all the time and feel like that is easier .
I want to build my blog and gain followers, but I am pretty sure staying behind us the not the way to do it and my desktop computer is old and slow and does not let me do pick monkey to edit so my only option is my iPad and phone pictures, which are not clearest.
I want to make sure you know that I would love for you to follow me and know I will stay blog.
How do you blog and find ideas for posts and when do you find time?
If you want to follow me on Instagram to keep up with me, they would be lovely.
Thank you for being patient while I figure out a plan.

In the mean time here are something's that have been happening.

Here are some books I cannot wait to read.

- I am reading this right now and it's a funny easy read.

Cuddling at church

Kendric got the citizenship award at school. He amazes me more everyday.

Happy InstaFriday !
We actually have nothing major going on this weekend. How about you? I am linking up with Jeannette from Life rearranged.

I love my mantle this year.

This is the table that I fell madly in love with and had to get it awhile back. Love the decorations on it.

We were walking to the bus stop and it was chilly out. I asked her if she wanted a coat and she said "no mom, I will cross my arms to keep me warm." Good thing I took her coat .

This boy will always get kisses from his mother!

Our elf jake gets in trouble a lot.

I love these weekend stories my daughter does in first grade. I love how they spell words exactly how they sound.

Have a great weekend!

Sisterhood magazine review and giveaway

I was thrilled when I was contacted by sisterhood to review their magazine.

Being a teenager girl can be rough at times. Worries about self image, comparing others, friends, boys and just everyday life. I have 2 girls, 6 and 3 and even though I am not have teenagers yet, making sure they grow up with having God as their foundation and that they are beautiful no matter what is very important to me. Those are crucial years and there is less worry knowing God is keeping them safe and that we raised them in a Christian home.

- Sisterhood magazine is a Christian based magazine with topics about healthy relationships, positive self image and so much more. Intimacy with Christ is so important and Sisterhood encourages that and gives steps to how to have that .

I would highly recommend this to anybody that daughters teenager or younger. You can learn a lot.

I needed this magazine when I was a teenager. As I was looking through it, I kept thinking, I so needed this article when I was younger.

Seventeen,Glamour and all those other magazines force girls to be who they are not and they have to wear what is trending to for in and so much more that causes negativity in their lives. and it seems like all the pictures if the girls/ woman are airbrushed and just not realistic. Do you feel that way?

Well.... Sisterhood is giving me the opportunity to giveaway a year subscription to one of you lucky readers.
To enter: Please leave a comment and tell me who you would buy this for.
Good luck. I will pick a winner on Tuesday.

Christmas movies

At last it is almost time to watch some of our favorite christmas movies .
I love starting a fire, drinking hot coca and watching movies.
We have a few favorites that we watch over and over. Why not, right?

The Griswold's Christmas. This is by far the top choice hands down.
I love this scene . Really? That is where she puts her hand?

This is right behind it. Oh, Ralphie.

Home alone and Elf are the top for favorites for the kids.

There are so much more and I want to watch all of them.

What are some of your favorites?

Weekend recap

Hello Monday!
We had a fun weekend. We drove to Columbia to celebrate our neices birthday. They had it in a hotel at the pool. It was fun to be able to swim this time of year.
The water was heated and they had a inside outside entrance. There was still water in the outside pool and the kids were able to swim from outside to inside and vice versa. They said the water was warm, but it was just the outside air. I cannot imagine they will keep it open in the dead of winter , but the kids had a blast.

This girl is a fish.

A little hot tub fun.

How was your weekend?
