I heard this song on Klove and I though it was the perfert comfort song to mend our broken hearts.
You are the healing in my heart
When all that I can see are broken memories
You are the light that’s in the dark
You are the song,
You are the song I’m singing.
You are the air,
You are the air I breath in.
You are the hope,
You are the hope I'm needing.
And when my circumstance leaves me with empty hands.
You are the provider of my needs.
When all my dirtiness has left me helpless.
You are the rain that washes me.
If I had no voice,
If I had no tongue,
I would dance for you like the rising sun.
And when that day comes and I see your face.
I will shout your endless glorious praise.
My heart is heavy for those affected by the explosions in Boston. As I got the news update on my phone,my heart just sank as I knew several people running in the Boston Marathon. I wept while watching the footage and just the damage it has done.
I pray for those who trained and worked so hard to cross the finish line and feeling such success and completion, only to have that feeling traded with sorrow and tears and cries and pain.
No matter how much our hearts are shattered, God will always be there for us mending our broken hearts, providing us comfort.
As I was thinking and praying for those in Boston, I also was praying for those who caused it. They have not found God yet and they need to. I pray for them to find Jesus and for him to forgive their sins and the pain they have caused people. I pray they give everything to Jesus and lean on him for everything.
As I reading the bible yesterday, I found some comforting bible verses that remind me that God will always be there in good and in tragic moments, that I may think he is not there.
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
You are by Colton Dixon is a great song and I think it is the perfect comfort for our hearts.
