Baked tacos

I have started the process of clean eating and I have to say it is tough at times because I really am to hungry to eat so little and some if things I plain out do not like, but I Change up the recipes a little to it is more friendly toy taste buds.
Of course I go to Pinterest to find recipes and I found a great one from sixsisters.
My whole family loved them.

Oven Baked Beef Tacos
Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 medium onion, diced
1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning (or 2-3 tablespoons of Homemade Taco Seasoning)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chunky salsa
12 hard taco shells
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large skillet, heat oil and add onion and garlic – saute for about 5 minutes until soft. Add beef and taco seasoning, cooking until meat is browned. Add beans and salsa. Mix well and let cook for a couple of minutes so that the flavors can meld and the mixture can thicken.
In a large 9x13" baking pan, line up all the taco shells. Fill each one with a couple of scoops of the beef mixture and pack down into the shell. Repeat until all the shells are filled. Top each taco with shredded cheese.
Bake for 8-10 minutes (or until all the cheese is melted).
Serve with your favorite taco toppings (tomatoes, lettuce, olives, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo , hot sauce, or whatever you like!).
These were so yummy !

Happy Friday! I am linking up with Natasha over at Hello Happiness for another 5 on Friday.

1) I love when I get saranaded by this girl. I love the off, loud singing.

2.)  I have started trying to clean eat. I have admit I am not 100% clean eating, but I try to as much as possible.
My kids have eaten what I have cooked,so that is a plus.

3.) I normally do not stalk the royal family, but I was watching the live feed all day with anticipation of the doors opening and meeting the prince. That boy has no idea how important he is and that he is 3rd in line to be King. WOW!

4.) I am starting to work on a couple DIY projects

Glued

I am not usually one to follow the royal family, but I love it all and want to visit England one day, but I was glued to the live feed. Today I was at the pool and I needed to pack up the kids and go home, but I just sat on the chair and continued to watch the doors. Finally it happened and I was so giddy to see the prince and his family. That baby has no idea how important he is. Welcome to the world sweet baby. Now.... To wait for a name.

Guest Post

Happy Monday!

I am happy to have a guest post on here. Since summer is the month for travel, Kendra Thorton has some great tips to pass along.

Kendra is a : Travel advocate, TV spokesperson, PR businesswoman, proud wife and mama of 3. I am a long time travel expert who has been packing my bags and traveling the world since I was 3 months old! I've found my utmost desire in life is right here in my own home. I have taken my excitement for travel and brought it to you with some of my favorite travel tips and tricks. Enjoy!

Travel Smart

Going on a family vacation is a great time. It’s nice to get away from home and spend some quality time with your family without all of the distractions of daily life and work. Although it’s getting late in the vacation season, it is never too late to plan a getaway that will create many memories. Before you go on your vacation, it is best to be well prepared so your time is as enjoyable and hassle free as possible.

Follow these tips to be on your way to a smart trip:

1. Choose a Family Friendly Hotel.

Although a hotel's website may say they’re family friendly, you will want to ensure that you do your research to truly determine what that means. If you know any parents that have taken their children there before, you should check with them, look for reviews online, or even contact a travel agent for information. Verify whether or not the hotel has amenities for kids such as a crib or a highchair. Check into whether or not you are able to get an adjoining room. This will give you more space while still allowing close supervision and is great for large families or those with infants who need quiet to nap. Find a hotel that also offers a microwave and fridge, as this is ideal for being able to eat in and save some money. Check out what parents in your social network have to say by using sites like Gogobot. We found an excellent Orlando hotel by weeding through the great advice of those who had gone before us.

2. Use Todays Technology.

Technology has advanced greatly over the years. With everything out there, it has made travel with children a little easier. Look into bringing a portable DVD player or tablet with you for the travel time. There are audio books that can be downloaded on your device for your child to read or listen to, which is great preparation for back to school. All of these things will make the travel time go faster and make things a great deal easier on you.

3. Stick With Your Regular Routine.

It’s important for your child to stick with their routine even while on vacation. If you skip a nap or snack your child may become irritable and we all know that will quickly make for an unpleasant time. Plan ahead to ensure that your child has a meal and a snack every couple of hours. This may mean packing healthy snacks or planning to stops accordingly. You will also want to keep them on their regular nap and sleep schedule to ensure everyone is well rested and ready for your adventure. Refer to the experts for finding a balance between fun and routine.

4. Pack Your Luggage, Carry-on, or Vehicle Strategically.

No matter what mode of transportation you have chosen, you should ensure that you have everything within reach that your child will need. If your child needs a stuffed animal or blankie in order to sleep, it should be easily accessible. A long trip can be difficult enough without having to handle an upset little one as well. Ensure you bring snacks for them to eat, a bottle, and extra diapers. If you’re tight on space, look into having your extra diapers shipped right to your destination – Diapers.com offers free delivery for a variety of brands.

5. Extend Your Vacation With Disposable Cameras.

Family vacations are a great time to make numerous memories. There is no better way for little ones to capture these memories than with disposable cameras. While you are on your trip, your children can record funny memories and details about your vacation to accompany these photographs. You can then use this to create a scrapbook, which will be invaluable for looking back on your vacation and reminiscing. It’s also a great activity to ease into after your return home, to ease the melancholy of a vacation’s end.

Hope this gave you some great tips. Enjoy your Monday.

Dance party USA

I love summer for many reasons, but I love it for the flexiablity we have to have dance parties. This usually happens at 8am ish. It is a really good way to get out the energy they have so early in the morning. Kaelis knows all the songs and just moves her small 2 year old bootie. I look forward to seeing the outfits or dance moves they do. Kendric will join them at times, but the girls have a blast and I just love watching my sweet joys dance their booties off.

Those moments....

As middle of summer is here and Bordem starts setting in, I hear more words, like "so and so" hit me or tattling words. Since they are home all day, I feel like my house is messier for longer. Sometimes I feel like I clean up the playroom more than I go to the bathroom. Ha!! I feel like I should just take all the toys out and have the kids suffer without toys.
Fortunately, there are moments where I only had to ask them once to clean their rooms or they played so well together.
These moments I want to write in a notebook and then look at it when I have my moments of wanting to hide and to thank God everyday for giving me these blessings and remind myself that my children are still learning and that will give me peace during the chaos.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances;for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
