1. I love my find at Walgreens. Gluten free granola. It was so good . Who would have thought walgreens of all places.

2. I have been wanting a chair that would go with the colors of my house and my friend has started a refinishing business and she made this chair for me. I love it!!

3. My baby is growing up fast. He just lost his 4th tooth. The front ones make them look so much older when they come in. Boo. He was so excited though.

4. Football has started back up for us. We went to see him practice and it was so hot. Poor thing was drenched. Thank goodness for lots of water.

5. This girl loves homework so far. I am sure it will not last much longer, but right now she loves when the teacher assigns homework. Is she wierd?

Guest post

Hey everyone!

Happy Friday Eve.
I had a privilege of doing a post over at staffordmoments with Melissa and her working mommy series. Head over and check it out. I love this series. I always love reading about working momma's and how their routine goes and learning some tips and knowing there are alot of momma's out there that work.
We headed to my hubby's home town tomorrow night so they acknowledged Ryan's football team for winning the national championship his senior year of highschool. It will be really near for kendric to see the field his daddy played football at.
I am excited about my parents arrival. It's been awhile and cannot wait to see them.
What are your plans?

5 on Friday

Hello Friday! I am linking up with Natasha over at hello happiness.

1.}. I am so excited for Kaelis to get this for her 3rd birthday. She loves to pretend and cook I know she will enjoy this a lot. I will enjoy playing with it as well!

2.} I love writing notes on my napkins for my kids lunches. I love seeing the delight on their face when they told me they read it.

3.} I cannot tell you how spoiled we feel with a washer . We were without one for 3 weeks and it was not fun! Thanks to wonderful neighbors who loaned theirs to us when we needed it. Having 3 kids who are not neat and a not potty trained 2 year old makes it s much harder. I could not just throw a load in. We finally got a new one and thankfully it was under warranty still! I may have kisses the top of it when we got it. Isn't she fabulous?

4.} I was glad that our headlight was the death sentence to this big dragonfly! Look at those legs!

5.} I love how our kitty waits in the bathtub while I am getting ready every morning. The minute I step into the shower she is there until the min I leave.

Have a great weekend!

As my family and I have been struggling with Saten and issues that have happened in our family, it is always a great reminder to lean in The Lord and open our hearts and let him more and more.
I am doing an online bible study and the book is called The Promised One.

Such a good book about the Old Testament .
Today I was reading about Noah and the Ark and how his family and him were saved from the floods because he listened to God and did everything God asked him to.
To me, this is so the way it should be. Walk with God, talk with God, listen to God.
It also reminded me of a great verse, that is in the book.
"God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)
I then read about God's Grace and if we have God's Grace, and the good news is at the end if every story is that if we found God's grace, we do not have to fear the mistakes we made in the past, the future, but enjoy his covenant . His everlasting covenant.
The book listed some bullet points that made it so very clear to me.
~ Grace invites you to walk with God and away from the world.
~ Grace empowers you over the long haul.
~ Grace keeps you from having to endure the wrath of God you deserve.
~ Grace promises you that the storms in your life are not punishment for your failures but preparation for your fruitfulness.
~ Grace covers your sin so completely that it cannot be canceled out by your bad behavior.
It is there,on the other side of your repentance, to woo you back and welcome you home.
~ Grace binds you to Christ so that neither death nor life, nor angles nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, not anything else in all creation, will be able to separate you from the love if God in Christ Jesus our lord.
{Rom. 8:38-39}

And just because.....

First day of School

The day has come to send the kiddos off to school.  I have missed them dearly today!
The kids both got the teachers they wanted,so they could not wait to go to school. I always try to do something fun the first morning of school.  I made chocolate pancakes this morning and decorated the table with back to school things. They were surprised when they woke up and it is was worth getting up earlier to set it up!
I love the routine we have and fall sports starting and yes, sometimes even the homework. It keeps me learning.
I hope they have a great year filled with lots of excitement and learning.

Back to school breakfast table all ready to go

Excited about 2nd grade

Yay for 1st grade

She had to get her picture in too, all morning she said"bye mommy, I am going to school."

Meet the teacher night

I had to add this in. I love this. It would take sometime to get it all together, but it is so cute! Don't you think so
What fun things do you do on the first day?

I am linking up with Natasha for 5 on 5 Friday.

I am loving the cooler weather in August. I love summer, but I am ready for cooler tempatures.
Looking forward to getting a new washing machine. Ours broke and I did not realize how much of a luxary it is, until you do not have one. Thankfully we have awsome neighbors who let us use theirs.

This is what my washing machine looks like. NOT FUN!

THREE: Last friday I took the kids to a nature center and walked the trails and looked for tadpoles and saw some snakes. I was not a big fan of the mud and being out  in nature, but the kids loved it.

End of summer.....

August means end of summer. I LOVE summer. I love the flexablity of doing anything. deciding to go on  quick trip overnight or a day trip. Spending hours at the pool. I Love the green grass and the flowers. I love playing outside with the kids until dusk. I love the sweaty, dirty hugs I get from my kids. Just summer.
I always get a little sad knowing the summer weather is coming to end and the packing of lunches returns, I go back to work, the homework and early bedtimes and early mornings.
I enjoy my kids being home and waking up to them every morning and being able to snuggle for however long we want and I will miss that.
As the fall sets in, I am reminded how beautiful God made the earth and the 4 seasons. The leaves  change colors, there is a cool brisk breeze, football is on T.V and warm weather crockpot recipes are being planned.
Looking forward to another change of season and will soak up every ounce of what God created for us.
