Homemade crunchy granola

I have been having some stomach issues and finally fingered out that I have trouble digesting gluten, so going gluten free was the only option I could think of.
I began looking for easy recipes that are gluten free. Let me tell you, it's not as easy as everybody may think it is. 
When I was grocery shopping, I began to get overwhelmed because the prices were not budget friendly.
I knew that making things myself were the cheapest way to go.
Now, I do not make ALL the things. I still will buy things, but if I can make it I will.

I came across this recipe when I browsing through some cookbooks.

                  Ingredients:
                   4 tablespoons canola oil
                  8 tablespoons honey( I used agave)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3 cups old fashioned certified gluten-free rolled oats. (Not all oats are gluten free)
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup dried cranberries(or fruit of your preference) 
1/2 cup of raisins


Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350• line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. In a small saucepan over low heat, heat the oil, honey, and salt, stirring occasionally, until the honey has melted and the mixture is warmed throughout.(3-5 mins)
3. While the honey and oil are warming , in a separate large bowl,add the oats and almonds and stir until well combined. When the honey mixture is ready, pour it over the oat mixture and stir with wet spatula (so honey does not clump )together until the honey mixture has costed the oat  mixture completely.
Scrape the he mixture into the prepared and baking sheet and spread it out in single .
4.place the baking sheet in the center rack  and bake for 15 mins or until golden brown. To ensure even baking, rotate the baking sheet once and stir  the granola once along the way.
Remove the baking sheet from he oven and reduce the heat to 309.
Allow granola to cool for about 10 mins on the baking sheet and them return it to the large bowl, add the cranberries and raisins and stir until they are evenly distributed throughout the granola.
Spread the granola our in a single layer on the baking sheet.
5. Return the baking sheet to oven and bake for another 5 to 10 mins,until the granola is a pale golden brown. Cool the granola completely on the baking sheet. It can be stored in a airtight container at room temperature for at least 2 weeks. 



It is so yummy and inexpensive.
